Lionesses Semi-final Training
On Wednesday 16th August 2023, we joined with many other girls from our Club for a pre-semi final Training Session and then went into Somerdale Pavilion to cheer on the England Lionesses as they beat Australia's Matildas 2-1 to reach the Women's World Cup Final.
Lionesses Quarter-final Training
On Saturday 12th August 2023, we had a special pre-quarter final Training Session and then went into Somerdale Pavilion for sausage + chips and to cheer on the England Lionesses as they beat Colombia 2-1 to reach the Women's World Cup Semi Final.
A Mile A Day In May
There were some unable to make the The Big Walk day, and they were instead set the challenge to walk a Mile-a-Day-in-May. Many of our Girls got involved and some sent in photos.
The Big Walk
On Sunday 7th May, Fry Club JFC undertook a 10 mile roundtrip walk from Somerdale Pavilion to Kelston Round Hill and back, all in the name of Charity. The Big Walk was open to the whole Club and many Teams got involved, all in aid of the Children's Hospice South West and our Club, with all funds raised being split equally between the two. The day itself was glorious as over 120 girls, boys and parents set out at 10:00am for what turned out to be four pleasant hours and one of our players made it to the top, even at such a young age (Rachel & Andy also made it!).
