Frys v Yate

Sunday 12th March 2011

Super Jack hits a Hat Trick.

Frys were shocked within seconds of the Kick of by Yate, when Jordan Belcher raced onto a free kick and fired home from 18yards, putting Yate one up on 45 seconds. Yate had their tails up and pushed the stunned Frys team onto the back foot. Frys defended stoutly for 10 minutes before they could truly mount an effort at the Yate goal. Once Frys had recovered and settled down to play some good passing football, they began to apply more pressure on Yate, and pulled level on 27 minutes with George Bone striking a ten yard volley into the roof of the net. Within four minutes James Urch powered a header into the Yate goal after a good flowing move down their left flank, to put Frys 2-1 up. Just before half-time Jack Driscol put Frys 3-1 up with a simple tap in from close range. Within the space of minutes Yate suffered several injuries that weakened their team, and with no substitutes to replace injured players, they struggled against a confident and free flowing Frys team, and it was no surprise when Jack Driscol scored again on 46 minutes when applying the finishing touch to score from a scintillating passing move by Frys. Yate had their backs to the wall and Frys had several shots saved or cleared, however on 71 minutes a stunning 20 yard volley into the right-hand top corner of the Yate goal by Jack Driscol made the final score 5-1 to Frys and a hat-trick for Jack.
