Mitchell Glover - Football Fanatic

Mitchell Glover has always been fanatical about Football, here just three years old in his Bristol City kit!

 

Fry Club JFC - 2005-09

Mitchell joined Frys as a four year old in August 2005, although he had been training with one of the older teams since August 2004.  Due to FA rules, his first two years (U5 & U6) were officially just training, and then played in the U7 and the U8 age group.

 

Bristol City FC Academy 2007-11

He was scouted by Bristol City as a five year old and started training with them on his sixth birthday, and signed officially (leaving Frys) for the U9 season (which is the age when Academy's insist on exclusive access), and played for them for a further two years before his family moved to Stoke, where Stoke City snapped him up.

Nuneaton Town 2016-17

He got fed up with the Academy system however and left to join Nuneaton Town, a full time adult team, when he was 15, playing and scoring in the National League North - the sixth tier of English football.

 

Darlington 2017-2019

Mitchell was 16 his manager moved to Darlington in the same division and Mitchell followed, and signed his first official contract when he turned 17.  He played for Darlington for one and a half seasons which included a loan spell Kidsgrove Athletic FC 2019.

 

Stratford Town FC 2019

When the Manager left Darlington at the end of the 2018/19 season the new Manager wanted just local players, so Mitchell followed his old Manager again to Stratford Town FC.

 

Market Drayton Town FC 2019

When the Manager lost his job at Stratford, Mitchell moved was frozen out along with other players to cut the budget. Whilst looking for regular football, Mitchell signed for a few weeks for Market Drayton, featuring in three matches before being picked up by Hednesford Town. Market Drayton announced it on their website and the transfer was part of the weekly roundup of Northen Premier League transfers.

 

Hednesford Town FC 2020

Mitchell signed for Hednesford at the start of 2020, in the same division as Stratford, Hednesford announcing it on their website, however he didn't get an opportunity to get on the pitch before Covid-19 ended the season.

 

Stratford Town FC 2020

For 2020/21, Stratford re-signed Mitchell but Covid ended that season early too.

 

Club Deportivo Don Álvaro 2020

In order to keep fit, Mitchell spent the Winter playing at a Club near Seville in Spain.

 

Stratford Town FC 2021

Mitchell had a pre-season dalliance with Stratford, but ultimately decided to spend the season elsewhere.

 

Glossop North End 2021

Mitchell signed for Glossop North End AFC at the start of the 2021/22 season but by Christmas had decided to look elsewhere.

 

Rocester 2021-22

Mitchell played five matches for Rocester, assisting three goals in his short spell, which was enough to impress the Leek Town manager who soon came calling.

 

Leek Town FC 2022

To ensure match fitness, Leek signed Mitch and immediately loaned him to Uttoxeter where he played three matches to get him up to speed before joining the full squad, and in those three games he managed to get an assist, after which Mitchell saw out the season at Leek Town.

 

Eccleshall FC 2022-23

In 2022-23, Mitchell signed for Eccleshall FC in search of a season of regular football.
